A fiery dragon will cross the sky Six times before this earth shall die
The Beast is a figure in the Book of Revelation, the last book of the New
Testament. There are two beasts described in Revelation 13; the First Beast
arises out of the sea, having seven heads and 10 horns. The Second Beast
arises out of the earth, having the appearance of a lamb while speaking like a
dragon. It is able to give life to this image so that it could speak and kill anyone
who doesn’t worship the First Beast. This Beast is later called ?The False Prophet?
and together with the Dragon and the First Beast forms the unholy trinity.

In Greek mythology, Medusa, ( guardian, protectress ) was a gorgon, a
chthonic female monster; gazing upon her would turn onlookers to stone. She
was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who thereafter used her head as a
weapon[ until giving it to the goddess Athena to place on her shield.
The image shows Caravaggio?s Medusa from 1597.

A phoenix is a mythical bird with a tail of beautiful gold and red plumage. It
has a 500 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of
cinnamon twigs that it then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are
reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises,
reborn anew to live again. The bird was also said to regenerate when hurt or
wounded by a foe, thus being almost immortal and invincible ? it is also said
that it can heal a person with a tear from its eyes and make them temporarily
immune to death. The phoenix is a symbol of fire and divinity.

In Greek mythology, Pegasus was a winged horse sired by Poseidon, in his
role as horse-god, and foaled by the Gorgon Medusa. Everywhere the
winged horse struck his hoof to the earth, an inspiring spring burst forth: one
on the Muses’ Mount Helicon, the Hippocrene ( horse spring ), at the behest
of Poseidon to prevent the mountain swelling too much and another at
Troezen.

The Loch Ness Monster is a cryptid alleged to inhabit Loch Ness in the
Scottish Highlands. Popular interest and belief in the animal has
fluctuated since it was brought to the world’s attention in 1933. Evidence
of its existence is largely anecdotal, with minimal and much disputed
photographic material and sonar readings. The scientific community
regards the Loch Ness Monster as a modern-day myth, and explains
sightings as a mix of hoaxes and wishful thinking. Despite this, it remains
one of the most famous examples of cryptozoology.

Baba-Yaga is, in Slavic folklore, a witch-like character who flies around
on a giant mortar, kidnaps (and presumably eats) small children, and
lives in a house on chicken feet. In most Slavic folk tales, she is portrayed
as an antagonist; however, some characters in other mythological folk
stories have been known to seek her out for her wisdom, and she has
been known on occasion to offer guidance to lost souls, although this is
seen as rare.

Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, is an alleged ape-like creature
purportedly inhabiting forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of
North America. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal
humanoid. Many believers in its existence contend that the same or
similar creatures are found around the world under different regional
names, most prominently the Yeti of the Himalayas.
