Niue has created a series of coins, Women, to honour the most prominent women who have become real inspirations. We would like to present the first coin in the series, a coin dedicated to one of the most famous English monarchs, Elizabeth I. We have created a coin of exceptional beauty for an exceptional personality, and it will delight not only collectors, but also those who like to receive high-quality gifts with beautiful stories and meaning behind them.

Even though Elizabeth I, Queen of England and Ireland, who ruled from 1558 to her death in 1603, received many offers of marriage, she never accepted any, so she is often referred to as the Virgin Queen. Advisors played a huge role in her environment and Elizabeth gladly listened to them, discussed matters with them, and made the most important decisions about the ruling of the country together. One of the advisors was the well-known alchemist John Dee, a researcher who spoke the language of the angels. At one point he was personal astrologer to Elizabeth I.

To reveal the distinctive personality of this famous woman, we created a collectible coin of spectacular beauty.
