This year’s ANA release out of our Evolution of Life series can be considered as a “new” dinosaur as the Sinraptor was officially discovered only 32 years ago in China with an almost complete skeleton. The name Sinraptor comes from the Latin prefix “Sino” meaning Chinese and “Raptor” meaning robber. The fossil discovered in China measures 3 m in height and 7.5 m in length. Sinraptor was estimated to have weighed over a ton! A 150 million years ago the Sinraptor may have hunted other medium sized dinosaurs.

This prehistoric killer is now featured on this impressively detailed smartminting© high relief coin. It is plated in rose gold on an antique finish rock matrix background. All previous releases of this series are already sold out and like the others, we expect this one to go extinct as well! This 1 oz silver coin has a diameter of 38.61 mm and is limited to 999 pieces.
