Description

Created in 1914, the Mosaic Egg is considered one of the most beautiful and
original masterpieces created at the House of Fabergé. Its surface – the jewelstudded platinum mesh – replicates the embroidery technique of petit point.
The surprise hidden inside the masterpiece – a miniature ivory medallion
surmounted with a crown – depicts the profiles of five children of Nicholas and
Alexandra Feodorovna.
