Description
The Miyamoto Musashi coin is the 12th release in the Legendary Warriors series and pays tribute to one of Japan’s most revered historical figures. Struck for Niue in 2025, the coin contains 2 oz of pure .999 silver, measures 45 mm, and features an Antique Finish with selective gold plating. Limited to just 500 pieces, it comes with a certificate of authenticity and a presentation case, emphasizing its premium collector appeal.
The design honors the life and legacy of Miyamoto Musashi, the undefeated swordsman, philosopher, and strategist who emerged during Japan’s tumultuous Sengoku period. Famous for winning his first duel at only thirteen, Musashi spent his life traveling as a ronin, challenging and defeating the greatest warriors of his era. His most legendary battle—against Sasaki Kojirō on Ganryū Island in 1612—showcased his unconventional brilliance when he arrived late and won using a wooden sword carved from an oar.
The coin’s imagery reflects Musashi’s discipline, mastery, and calm-minded philosophy. It serves as a collector’s tribute to his enduring teachings: that true strength lies not only in perfecting the blade, but in mastering oneself.
