Description

This 3 Oz Silver coin is the second release in the “Eternal Sculptures II” series, dedicated to the most famous and beautiful sculptures. In this issue: Disillusion, also known as “The Release from Deception”. The coin features Smartminting Ultra High Relief on both sides, has Black Proof quality and comes in a case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of 499 pcs!

Design

The reverse of the coin presents a detailed image in High Relief inspired by “Disillusion”, crafted by Genoese artist Francesco Queirolo in the 18th century. The masterpiece depicts a fisherman being released from a net by an angel. The net symbolizes sin. As the angel sets the man free, he rids him of his wrongdoings and introduces him to the Bible, which rests at his feet. The image has a wonderful metallic marble effect and is surrounded by an ornamental frame with a typical Renaissance pattern and the inscriptions: “MMXXIII” – the year of issue in Roman numerals, “ETERNAL SCULPTURES II” – the name of the series and “DISILLUSION” – the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin has Smartminting High Relief too and depicts a detail of the statue: the fisherman’s hand stuck in the net. On the left of the obverse, the Coat of Arms of Palau and, below, the inscription: “20 DOLLARS” – the face value.
