Description

Gustav Klimt permanently established himself in the pantheon of the world’s greatest painters with his original and innovative approach. His painting “The Dancer” – one of the artist’s last works – was completed just before his death in 1918. The work has a distinctly oriental and sensual character.
It depicts a young woman holding a bouquet of bright yellow daffodils. Who is this character? Despite several hypotheses, we will never know. “The Dancer” has been somewhat forgotten, but is an excellent showcase of the artist’s style, vision and talent.
