Raphael is the patron saint of apothecaries, doctors, the sick, travellers and
emigrants. His name means “God heals”. This healing is symbolic and not just
in the medical realm – it can also have a salutary effect on other aspects of life.
The Archangel carries the light of wisdom, healing and harmony. You can
almost see them when looking through the colourful glass stained glass windows
placed on the coin. Two ounces of fine silver and antique finish decoration
make this a true masterpiece of mince art inspired by traditional iconography.
