Description

The natural habitat of the Quetzal is in the rainforests of South and Central America. However, as these rainforests become increasingly endangered so to does the exceptional Quetzal. Despite protective legislation, the species is continuously hunted for its plumage and skin.
In relation to this issue is the predicament of the Wild Avocado Fruit that can only be digested and its seeds dispersed by the Quetzal. Therefore, the continued existence of this fruit is wholly reliant upon the survival of the endangered Quetzal species.
