Niue presents one more exclusive coin of its series dedicated to the most amazing animals of Africa. This is the fourth coin of the series, and it has the greatest number of eyes.
The coin portrays one more amazing animal―the jumping spider from East Africa. The spider is eager to meet you and would like to introduce itself.

It will sound scary, but I really like the taste of human blood! But I also want to reassure you that I am not dangerous for humans.
What I like most are mosquitoes that have eaten well! They say that I am the most bizarre animal in the world because I hunt my preys based on the smell of the breakfast they had.
I am very athletic. I could participate in a long jump competition! Because of this I am called a jumper, and I am the only spider that does not build webs. I do not bother to build webs because I can grab my prey by jumping on it. I really like this nickname!

I live in East Africa. What I enjoy most is spending time next to Lake Victoria―a place that attracts people from all over the world.
