Design
The reverse of the coin portrays the 3.5″ floppy disk, the well-known storage medium that was widely used in the 1980s and 1990s to store and transfer computer data! The whole coin has a coloration which recreates perfectly the look of the device as it was, with its black plastic and the white and orange label! This masterpiece combines numismatic artistry and nostalgic love for Information Technology and the great changes it brought about in our everyday life! On the reverse, also the inscriptions: “FLOPPY DISK” – the name of the coin, “2 OZ SILVER .999” – the weight and fineness of the precious metal, “MINTAGE 499” – the mintage.
