This edition honors the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, symbolized by the mask of a nuclear plant worker who fought to contain the crisis.

The reverse shows the cracked visor of a protective helmet, reflecting the devastation—twisted pipes, shattered infrastructure, and toxic smoke rising from damaged towers. The obverse presents a dramatic view of the rescue efforts, with fireboats dousing the overheating reactors in a desperate attempt to prevent further catastrophe.
