Many people are fascinated by pearls. This mysterious nature-bound jewel is a symbol for beauty, purity and love. Genuine natural pearls are very rare and are consequently priceless. This is why mainly cultured pearls are used for jewellery making.
To create a cultured pearl an implant is placed into a shell which then grows into a pearl sac. Therein, in the ocean, the shell produces a mother-of-pearl layer within about two years. However this operation does not always succeed and only about three percent of the cultured pearls are suitable for selling. This also makes them an expensive and exclusive product. One thing is for sure; nature will always leave us with open questions.
The combination of a high-quality silver coin and the unique pearl impresses every collector. A myth in a very special form!
