Design

The reverse of the coin depicts a cyborg dog. The dog is represented in profile in an attack pose, its head and body covered with a series of circuits and details. The DNA helix detail on the tail shows the transformation from animal to cyborg and connects the dog to the edge of the coin where the year of issue “2023” is also present. The obverse of the coin is common to the series and features a concentric pattern of wires and cables. In the center is the Coat of Arms of Palau and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIC OF PALAU” – the issuing country and “$20” – the face value.
