It features Frida Kahlo: the well-known Mexican artist who discovered painting as an instrument for expressing her emotions. The coin has Proof quality and an extraordinary coloration realized with the most advanced technology. The unique peculiarity of this wonderful piece is its multi-layered technique, which makes the mosaic levels overlap for composing a complex three-dimensional image with Ultra-High-Relief, obtained with Smartminting technology. The coin has smooth edges and all the pieces are individually numbered on the rim. It comes in a luxury themed case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. The design of this wonderful coin uses the graphic elaboration of an image of Frida Kahlo by André Sanchez and reinterprets it with the most advanced and ambitious technologies. The reverse of the coin portrays the image originally processed by André Sanchez in a defined multi-layer structure, in Ultra High Relief. Thus, Frida’s body appears as if enveloped by floral elements in bright and vivid colors. The micromosaic technique gives the image a delicacy and sophisticated geometry, restoring to the viewer an additional perception of wonder, not only for the sense of depth, but also for the incredible attention to artistic and structural details. The obverse of the coin is entirely covered by the mosaic pattern outlining geometric and symmetrical floral motifs. It also depicts the Coat of Arms of Palau, containing the inscriptions: “20$” – the face value and “GREAT MICROMOSAIC PASSION II” – the name of the series.
