Description

Gustav Klimt exerted significant influence on the history of art. His revolutionary approach to painting resulted in a new quality in fine arts. The painting “Portrait of Friederike-Maria Beer”, 1916, shows a woman in a beautiful silk dress and a fur coat. The background of the portrait is filled with the series of battle scenes. In his work Klimt combined different visions of Oriental art by depicting classical themes from different cultures.
