Design

The reverse of the coin depicts the view of a poor young girl, trying to sell matches in the street. In the flame of the matches she sees her grandmother, the only person to have treated her with love and kindness. When the matches are gone the girl dies and behind her, the death is waiting to take her soul. On the side of the reverse, the inscriptions: “FEAR TALES” – the name of the series and “2020” – the year of issue. The obverse of the coin depicts a deep and dark forest, the Coat of Arms of Palau and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIC OF PALAU” – the issuing country, “10$” – the face value and “SADLY EVER AFTER”.
