Description

Albrecht Dürer, born in Nuremberg in 1471, was the greatest artist of the German Renaissance. The “Adoration of the Trinity” was a central part of the altarpiece commissioned by a rich merchant of Nuremberg. Initially, the painting was included in a rich frame – the part of a coherent whole. Today this masterpiece of the European painting is housed in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
