Description
The reverse depicts the moment when Lancelot crosses the path of a lady assaulted by Mordred’s knights. Lancelot protects this lady, named Guinevere, from the swords and arrows of the assailants. He falls in love with her at first sight and when he arrives alone at Camelot he discovers that the damsel in distress is the Queen of Camelot, Lady Guinevere , wife of King Arthur. The fight takes place by a stream, beside a ruined bridge deep in the forest. As in the first issue, we have plated the main character’s weapon, the Lancelot’s sword, in 24k gold, but this time we have added Lancelot’s shield with a hand-coloured 3D printing insert.
The obverse of the coin, as the previous issue, depicts the Round Table of Camelot, presided over by King Arthur, and with the shield of the knight on the reverse gold plated, accompanied by the head of Queen Elizabeth II.
